When you are bitten by a dog with abnormal behavior and bleeding, inject the first shot of rabies vaccine; then observe the dog that bites you. Wash the wound
Rinse the wound quickly: every minute counts. Rinse the rabies virus on the wound or the bacteria in the mouth as quickly as possible. Because after a long time, the virus will enter human tissues, invade the central nervous system along the nerve, and kill people. The second is to be thorough: because the wound of grizzly bear bite is small outside (her mouth is very small and her teeth are very small) and deep inside, this requires that when washing, the wound should be enlarged as much as possible, so that it can be fully exposed, and the soft tissue around the wound should be squeezed, and the amount of water used to wash should be large, and the flow of water should be rapid, preferably in front of the tap water; the washing time must be more than 30 minutes. Of course, it is also said to wash with saline or 20% soapy water. I use tap water directly to wash with saline or 20% soapy water in the last few minutes.
After rinsing, dry it with a clean towel. I use a soft cotton towel, which is a disposable towel, which is cleaner and more convenient.
Alcohol disinfection
After washing and bleeding the wound, the wound should be disinfected in time. I use this configuration of wound disinfectant + alcohol. When disinfecting, the burning wound should be washed repeatedly, so as not to be too painful.
Apply iodophor
Finally, apply iodophor, because rabies virus reproduces in an anaerobic state, so the wound can not be bandaged within 24 hours, apply iodophor for 30-45 seconds, and then wipe the wound to prevent secondary infection.
About Rabies Vaccine Injection

By the way, the pet doctor told me that domestic dogs are generally no problem, especially grizzly bears, which are vaccinated against rabies once a year, but have a certain chance of carrying rabies virus, not causing direct infection. So as long as they are not the kind of people who play outside all day with wild dogs of unknown origin, and do not show active aggression to the shoveling officer, they can rest assured that they are healthy.
It has been more than a month since I was first bitten by a grizzly bear. Indeed, as the doctor said, there is nothing wrong with me. (I had planned to get a rabies vaccine and then observe it for 10 days, but I was refused.) It proves that it is necessary to treat the wound in time.
Tip: How to deal with the situation without bleeding
