Foot care for gray poodle

Most of the time, the grizzly bear's activities are in close contact with the ground, which will inevitably affect her feet, so how can I neglect the care and maintenance of her feet as a shoveling officer? Recently, it is a good time for "spring outing". Let's take a look at how to take care of the grizzly bear's little feet after spring outing.

Meat pad

Taking care of the grizzly bear's feet starts with her pads. As the grizzly bear grows older and heavier, her pads feel a little rough and hard, like touching on sandpaper, not as good as her 2-month-old feet. Fortunately, there was no cracking. Once the dog's pads are cracked, and the shoveling officer does not often help the dog clean soles of the feet, the cracked areas will be particularly prone to dust, small grains of gravel, and so on, which will cause skin problems on the soles of the dog's feet in the long run. Therefore, the care of the meat pad really can not be ignored. For the care of meat pads, the following three tools are probably needed:

"Spring outing" go out to come home to wash feet in time, but absolutely can not always use water to wash oh, otherwise it will become very dry and uncomfortable like grizzly bear before. Foot cleanser (or foam) for dogs is the best choice. It can remove bacteria, clean and even keep some feet moist. The brand is not recommended here, because most of these products have similar effects. The effect should be the same. Apply the foot cleanser (or foam) to the grizzly bear's paws and gently massage them back and forth. Otherwise, it is easy to arouse the grizzly bear's disgust ~

Next, the most important step is to dry the bottom of the grizzly bear's feet with a baby towel or wet towel.

The foot cleanser and foam will only wash out the dust. The success or failure of really letting the dust leave the soles of the feet depends on it. (≧ ≧ ≦)/~ la. Let me show you. The dust on the cleaned front paws is super dirty.

Finally, for the grizzly bear, I put on the foot care products suitable for dogs. I chose the olive oil for mothers and babies, which is edible, safe and moist. Of course, lipstick is also OK, and it is also a good choice to buy special care oil for dogs. If there is a crack, wipe it evenly and wrap the sole of the foot with plastic wrap for 10 minutes, which can effectively improve the condition of the crack, but the grizzly bear does not have this problem, as long as it is applied daily.

Of course, the best way to prevent grizzly bear pads from being injured is to try not to let dogs walk on gravel, broken glass and other places. In winter, after the rainy and snowy season, try not to let the grizzly bear walk on the wet ground. If you have to go out (grizzly bears can't stay at home), you should follow the above steps to care for grizzly bear pads. However, not all the time can be so leisurely foot care, rush to work in the morning can not do this, I will first put on the appropriate small shoes or socks for the grizzly bear, and then take her out, of course, this frequency is very low, because the grizzly bear will wake me up at 5:30 every morning.

Toenails

Long toenails not only affect the movement of grizzly bears, but also may damage indoor furniture. In theory, the best time to trim a grizzly's paws is right after her bath, when her toenails are much softer than usual and easier to trim. However, most of the time, after taking a shower and blowing with a hair dryer, the grizzly bear's mood is down, so I usually cut her nails in the afternoon when she is in a good mood.

Embedded inside the toenail, the pink area just below the toenail is the living tissue containing blood and nerves, also known as the living flesh or toenail bed; when trimming the dog's paws, care should be taken not to cut this area, as long as a few millimeters of the toenail are cut obliquely along the direction of the toe tip. If the paws are white, you can see pink lines of blood through the sunlight, but if the toenails of a grizzly bear are black, you need to be more careful, that is, to cut off the curved tips that do not pass through the blood vessels. First cut the toenails, then file the top of the toenails, because the black claws of grizzly bears are not easy to see blood vessels, so you can cut most of them first and then file them. I use scissors as a supplement and file as a main part; so far, I haven't cut a grizzly bear to bleed O (∩ _ ∩) O ~

Foot hair

In addition to pads and toenails, the trimming and drying of foot hair is also a part that can not be ignored. Simply share the whole process of foot hair cleaning and trimming:

Rub the sole of the grizzly bear's foot gently in warm water, and pay attention to the seam between the toes to wash it clean, in order to wash away the dirt or dust attached to the sole of the foot; After the dirt on the

pad is washed away, the whole paw of the grizzly bear can be examined to observe whether there is a foreign body between the pad and the toe, whether there is a cut or puncture, whether there is depilation, inflammation, swelling, ulceration, etc;
The next step is to scrub the grizzly bear's pads and toe seams. Sponge is the best tool for scrubbing. Clean every toe seam with the surface of the sea soaked in water, and then wash it again with bath lotion. Remember to choose the special bath lotion for dogs;
Use a hair dryer to dry the hair on the paws. If it is not dried in time, the dog is prone to skin diseases.

After drying all the hair on her paws, she can shave the bottom of her feet to keep them clean and fresh. Be careful not to cut her paws when shaving. The hair on the bottom of her feet grows very fast, so it needs to be trimmed in time (once a month), otherwise it's not only easy to slip when walking, but also easy to cause foot diseases.

Finally, finish with a beautiful photo of a little grizzly bear who has finished foot care.
