Importance of antibody testing
Judging whether all vaccines have been successfully vaccinated, and considering whether to continue to vaccinate and enhance antibodies according to the degree of antibody production. Each dog's physique is different, the external environmental factors are different, some may be a needle can produce enough antibodies, some may be three needles can not produce enough antibodies.
Serum antibody testing is recommended 4 weeks after the last dose.
Detection method
After the hospital draws blood, the serum is separated with a centrifuge, and the serum is detected on the corresponding test paper plate for antibody detection.
Test result judgment
C1 and C2 are control lines, and the middle T line is the reaction line. When both C1 and C2 are displayed, the antibody level is judged according to the T line.
1 High titer (>1:128 SN):T line intensity exceeds C2 line, which means high titer of canine distemper antibody, suggesting excellent immune status.
2 Medium titer (from 1:16 to 1:64 SN): The T line intensity is between C1 and C2 lines, which means a medium titer of canine distemper antibody, suggesting a better immune status.
3 Low titer (<1:16 SN): The intensity of T line is lower than that of C1 line, which means that the antibody titer of canine distemper is low, which implies that the immune status is low and must be immunized within 1 month.
4 Negative: Only the control line is visible, indicating that no antibody is detected.
5 The control line does not appear: The main reason may be insufficient sample or incorrect operation. Please replace the test paper and retest.
Specific Judgment
1 T>C2>C1, the antibody is completely sufficient.
2 C2>T>C1, the antibody is good enough.
3 T
4 T line is not available, only the control line is visible, indicating that the antibody is not detected and immunization is required.
5 The control line is not present, which may be due to insufficient samples or improper operation and needs to be retested.
