Many parents are worried that their dogs often shed tears, causing all the hair around the eyes to be oxidized and brown, which makes the whole face very ugly. Today, I will share my Hani's experience of anti-tear stains.

If you want to cure "tear stains", eliminate them first.

(1) Is the choice of dog food appropriate?

Unsuitable dog food can also cause your dog to show tear stains, such as some dog food that is too salty, or the dog food is not suitable for your dog (some dogs eat a dog food, besides looking at the poop situation, tear stains can also reflect whether the dog can absorb the dog food). Dog food that is not absorbed will cause the dog to get inflamed and too much nutrition can not be metabolized, so naturally the dog will have tear stains.

My Hani's dog food is Japanese dog food, usually Japanese dog food is relatively light. And European and American food is greasy, if the tear stain is more serious dog, I suggest that you can try to choose a light dog food, and then see if the tear stain has improved

(2) Are there ear mites and eye diseases?

If your dog has tear stains, parents can also check your dog's eyes for inflammation or ear mites. Your dog's facial features are also clear. If there are ear mites, the ear canal is not clean or inflamed, it will also cause the dog to have tear stains. Because of this, we must clean dog's ear canal every week to prevent the production of ear mites.

If eye inflammation causes the dog to have tear stains, then we can order anti-inflammatory pet eye drops for treatment. If ear mites cause tear stains in dogs, we can use special ear washing water for pets, clean ear canal first, and then apply ear medicine (the price of Erfuling is about 130). If there are ear mites, the above operations should be carried out every day to restore the dog's health, and the tears will naturally disappear.

Tear stain removal product therapy

My family Hani has tried a lot of products to tear stains, in fact, so many products to tear stains after trial, my family has not completely cured good tear stains yo. Only this ALICAN oral liquid for removing tear stains in Taiwan has been slightly improved. Most of the tear stain removal products we also want to see whether the dog has the effect, each dog's constitution is different, some dogs after eating is really effective, and some dogs eat is not effective.

My friend's dog took a course of tear stain removal products, and the tear stain was cured, but my Hani's tear stain was not cured, and then my family stopped feeding.

Is the lacrimal wall blocked?

For some time, on the road of treating tear stains, I was particularly desperate. The product had been tried but could not cure the tear stains. I wondered if it was caused by the blockage of the tear duct. To detect whether there is a blockage, you need to go to the hospital for a fluorescence test. The doctor will give something similar to a fluorescent agent to the corner of the eye, and then illuminate it with a light in a small dark room. The fluorescent liquid will appear on the dog's skin, so that you can determine whether there is a blockage. If it's blocked, the lacrimal glands will open. Lacrimal glands need anesthesia, considering the risks, I am not very much in favor of owners taking dogs to lacrimal glands (unless your dog is going to be sterilized or something, when anesthesia is needed, you can take the lacrimal glands together).

I have also asked some owners around me who take dogs to lacrimal glands, and some owners have responded to the lacrimal glands. It does improve significantly, but there is a probability of recurrence. So I gave up taking my Hani to be tested for lacrimal wall blockage.

The key to tear stain removal-daily care is very important

My Hani's later period is purely taken care of, and slowly the tears really improved a lot. Wipe your eyes several times a day to keep the tear stains dry, because the tear stains are usually wet all the time. Over time, the hair is oxidized and turns brown, which is very ugly on the face. In order to prevent oxidation, I wipe my Hani's eyes

with warm water every day. Dogs also secrete eye droppings. If the owner does not clean them well every day, they will form lumps. This is also the cause of hair oxidation and tear stains.

Choose towels, cotton pads or gauze to wipe your dog's eyes every day. No napkins. No matter how good the napkins are, they are a little crumbly. We can't see it. It's easy to cause inflammation of your dog's eyes. Be sure to wipe your eyes gently. The dog's eyes are very fragile. We should be careful. If the secretion in the eyes can not be wiped off, you can use eyedrops into the dog's eyes for cleaning, so that the eyedrops can bring out the secretion and facilitate cleaning

Daily cleaning alone is not enough, after cleaning the eyes, we need to use a little hot water every day, apply the dog's eyes, gently massage the dog's canthus, stimulate the dog's lacrimal wall, can effectively remove tear stains yo ~

tear stains is a long process, or need daily care, the owner's careful care, slowly will be effective.

Final step: Must blow dry, how does the brown tear stain around dog canthus come? It is because there is water in the eyes for a long time, which leads to oxidation. When we clean eyes, the dog is bound to be wet around the eyes. We should dry them in time to prevent oxidation.

The biggest key to tear stains is to keep dry and take good care of it every day. Although the dog's hair has been oxidized, the new hair will replace the oxidized hair under the owner's daily care. After a long time, trim it more, and naturally the dog will not have tear stains. Sometimes the best way to remove tear stains is for dogs. Whether the owner takes care of

Eating products doesn't work, but taking good care of them every day and stimulating the tear duct with warm water can also improve the tear gland problem very effectively!
