Pica correction

At the beginning, Xiaohua ate cotton wool, wall skin, sofa skin and so on, which made me very angry. Not only did it destroy the furniture, but also the food could not be digested by the stomach. I was worried about its body. If the food was broken, it could be bought again. Its life was only once. I wanted it to be healthy. I asked many pet doctors. The doctor said that Xiaohua might have pica. Eat some trace elements. So my family's trace elements piled up into a mountain, all kinds of brands are available, because just bought a bottle, another person recommended a brand, but I personally feel that trace elements did not improve the situation of Xiaohua's eating, maybe Xiaohua is not suffering from pica, but more behavioral problems.

Behavior correction -- eating indiscriminately

I use regular, quantitative and fixed-point feeding. After the meal time, I don't feed anything. Once the little guy picks up the cotton wool or paper at home and wants to eat it, I will immediately say "NO" loudly, and pat his buttocks and train repeatedly to let the little guy know that eating these things indiscriminately is to be punished. This method can only be used for things that are often eaten at home. Once you go out, the dog may eat indiscriminately again. For this reason, I am prepared for "spit out" training.

At first, I combined the "NO" command, when the flower ate the food on the ground, I would give the NO, and gently hold the dog's upper jaw with one hand and cover the nostril, the other hand broke the lower jaw, so that the object fell to the ground, while repeating the command "spit out". And immediately give a reward (but pay attention to the food must be put in the bowl or hand feeding, remember to throw it on the ground) to let it know to spit out, you can eat other food, they do not lose, and then through a period of repeated training, when I say spit out, the little guy will spit out, and develop the habit of not eating food on the ground, because it knows to eat. Mama will say NO sternly and pat her buttocks with her hands.
