Recently, grizzly bears occasionally scratch their bodies, and it is estimated that they may suffer from the so-called "pruritus". The terrible thing about pruritus is that it can enter a "dead cycle"-when the dog scratches, the itching will be relieved, but at the same time, it will stimulate the scratching area to release an amine, which will aggravate the itching, resulting in more itching, more itching.. Then the dog's paws hide dirt, and once the skin is scratched, the result is simply invisible (; ´ `).
In this case, the first thing to do is to stop the grizzly from scratching her skin; then treat it differently depending on the situation.
Check the skin
In fact, many skin problems can be detected early through daily combing. Check the dog's skin carefully every day when combing. If it is pink, it is very healthy. If you find a small bag or hair loss, then you need to make further judgments. In addition to early detection of skin diseases, daily combing can also massage the skin, promote skin metabolism, and help to remove the dirt that causes skin sensitivity. The grizzly bear has been scratching extra recently, so I cleaned the skin layer by layer with a comb and carefully examined the whole body.
Combing can check the health of the skin under the hair more carefully. After checking, the grizzly bear's skin did not appear red, swollen, pustular, dandruff and so on.
The ear canal is cleaned regularly
Although the grizzly's ear mites have healed, the poodle's inner ear canal needs to be cleaned regularly because of its long hair. In addition to plucking powder to clean hair inside the ear canal in time, regular application of ear drops is also essential. Sarcoptes scabiei, ear mites, and Demodex are the three most common mite infections in dogs and the most recurring problems.
In terms of ear lotion, I use Erkang's ear lotion, and the small dropper can drop the medicine deep into the dog's ear canal. Every time the medicine is dropped into the ear canal of the grizzly bear, she puts down her ear and massages it to help the medicine absorb. After that, the grizzly bear will naturally shake her head, and the dissolved dirt will naturally be thrown to the auricle. It will be fine to wipe it clean with a soft cotton ball.
Since I may be out on a business trip in the next week or two, I will work with my mother on this exercise so that she can clean grizzly bear's ear canal regularly (once a week) during my absence.
Supplementing unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins
Through a simple skin examination, the grizzly bear was sure that she did not scratch her skin because she was infected with parasites. I judged that she might scratch her skin because it was too dry. In fact, the weather recently, not to mention the dog, I have been itching recently. The weather here, which is still windy and dry in spring, can easily lead to moisture loss and oil secretion disorders in the dog's skin. Previous physical examinations also detected that although the grizzly bear could not be seen on the surface, she actually had dandruff.
Unsaturated fatty acids (especially omega-3) and B vitamins can help improve skin resistance. As a shoveling officer, I immediately added some nutrients rich in unsaturated fatty acids and vitamins to her diet in this sensitive season. But the grizzly bear is still in the anti-gray period, so in terms of quantity control, I have halved it.
Extra: Flea
Although every month to the grizzly bear regular deworming, but the grizzly bear's favorite place is the grass ( (), I am not at home afraid of my parents feel trouble (every time the grizzly bear comes back I will give her a simple cleaning), and they are not used to combing the grizzly bear hair, I am really afraid of grizzly bear infected with fleas and so on, I bought a flea Liqing spray type of daily maintenance. And bought a flea comb.
Once a grizzly bear is suspected of being infested with fleas, comb it carefully with a flea comb to see if there are small black spots hanging on the comb teeth-flea feces and eggs. Use the spray for systemic deworming as soon as you notice fleas, and keep it there until I get home (flea infestations tend to last a long time, and I take the grizzly to the doctor when I get back). At the same time, it is necessary to clean grizzly bear's nest pad and so on, and it is essential to clean home environment with professional disinfectant for dogs.
From my complaint o (11 +) o: I really think that grooming is essential to find and deal with more than 80% of the dog's skin problems in time, but mom and dad really can't hold the grizzly bear who is too naughty. You can only make a plan for the most easily infected with parasites first, and the same is true for other shoveling officers. If you can't take your dog on a business trip and need foster care (I'm not foster care yet, but I handle grizzly bear care in general, and my parents rush to walk the dog) and change your daily habits, you'd better prepare for emergencies in advance.
