After many attempts and consulting information, I finally stumbled and raised the puppy. Today, I would like to share with you the nursing experience of puppies aged 15-40 days.
Under what circumstances do milk dogs need manual care?
① It is not recommended to leave breast milk when there is a mother. However, the mother who took over the puppy will not only trample on the puppy at will but also have aggressive behavior. It is not suitable for breeding female dogs. The offspring of such dogs need artificial feeding.
② dogs with more than one litter or frail litters generally belong to dogs with more than 6 litters. it is easy for individual litters to be too weak and need artificial feeding.

What are the supplies needed to take good care of a milk dog?
bottle: try to choose a larger capacity, nipple specifications a little more.
hot water bag: heat preservation is necessary. wrap it in a thin blanket of moderate thickness and put it in the nest (the electric blanket is too dry and the milk dog urine is easy to have potential safety hazard, so the hot water bag is the first one)
goat milk powder: dogs are prone to lactose intolerance. goat milk is the closest to dog's breast milk. it is rich in multiple vitamins and is not easy to diarrhea. there is no specific recommendation on the brand. you can choose according to your own economic conditions.
dog bag: it is used instead of a heat preservation box. it can keep warm while breathable. the transparent one I chose can see the situation of the milk dog inside.
urine pad: try to choose a good reputation of strong water absorption.
nest mat: at first, I used a dog kennel, but later I found that the mattress used by people was warmer, but the disadvantage was that it was not easy to clean.
dog food: eat it with goat milk after 25 days of age, and choose puppy food or milk cake.

Dogs who suddenly change their diet should pay attention to various reactions, especially the records of urine and urine and weight. The stool represents the digestion situation, too much is the non-absorption of food, too little is the amount of food per meal is not enough, the above situation needs to change the amount of food and milk powder brand.
reference amount: 3-4 times daily.
weight represents absorption. observe the rising trend in time. if there is less weight gain or no weight gain, consider the replacement of milk powder brand.
reference amount: the daily weight gain of the golden retriever puppies I feed is about 30g-50g.
Feeding steps and skills
Set an alarm clock every day, an average of 3-4 hours for a feeding. Clean
In the feeding bottle, warm boiled water at 50-60 ℃ is injected into goat milk powder. Generally, 5g of milk powder is mixed with about 30ml of water to shake evenly. When it is cold to below 40 ℃ (the temperature can be slightly higher than the body temperature when dropped on the back of the hand), it can be fed. The concentration of milk fed two days before getting home should be 30% lower, giving the intestines and stomach a certain adaptation time to prevent diarrhea.
When feeding, the upper body of the dog should be slightly raised to lie on the person's hand or mat, and the posture of pressing the breast when eating breast milk should be restored. The pacifier should be slightly inclined. If the dog does not suck, it can be gently squeezed to let the goat's milk seep out and stimulate the dog to suck. The process must be slow and gentle to prevent choking.
stop feeding when you see your stomach slightly propped up, moisten cotton with warm water, and gently wipe around the anus to simulate a dog's mother's tongue licking to promote defecation.
can start feeding dog food until the age of 25 days, break it with a cooking machine, add appropriate goat's milk, and knead it into dumplings with a diameter of 0.5cm after soaking it soft (about 20min). milk dogs will not bite with their mouths open for the first time. they can gently pinch open their mouths and put the dog food in, and can eat it independently after repeating it for 2-3 times. At the same time, it is also necessary to cooperate with the consumption of goat milk. For every 5g of dog food, the feeding amount of goat milk can be reduced by ¼. It is recommended to start with 5g for the first time and increase the amount every two days. The feeding stage of food change needs to be gradual, one meal of dog food a day for 2-3 days, then two meals of dog food a day, and so on.
weaning can be started when dog food is fully adapted to every meal for 35 days. the transition period is 7 days. except for the goat's milk used for soaking dog food every day, the remaining amount can be gradually changed to clear water for drinking to ensure that stool is not dry.
At 45 days, if the diet and mental health are all normal, the first dose of vaccine can be started.
The ambient temperature should be well controlled
During the feeding period, the indoor temperature should be controlled at about 20-25 ℃, and the temperature in the nest should not be lower than 35 ℃. The hot water bag put in should be wrapped with cloth, not only to prevent scalding, but also to prevent the puppy from not being replaced in time after getting cold. Change the water in the hot water bag every 5 hours on average.

① Called
a reference for judging the status of milk dogs. howling for a long time is usually due to hunger, cold or defecation. if you still bark when you have handled it well, you should consider health problems and go to the hospital to have a look.
② Open your eyes
generally 12-15 days is the time for dogs to open their eyes. it may take several days from seeing the light to fully opening it. it must not be torn open or touched too much.
③ Movement
the milk dog I raise is relatively energetic. after the age of 25, it starts to interact with the other two Wang in the family. after eating, it will bark all the time when it is put in the bag. at this time, appropriate activities can promote digestion. you must pay attention to keeping warm ~ wear clothes or cushion under it.
④ Cleaning
change the urine pad 3 times a day, and clean the bottle every time after feeding. When the sun is better, the mat should be exposed to the sun, and some mild disinfectant should be sprayed appropriately for sterilization.
